Kentucky authors to read and sign books at the Main library.
Bob Sloan, Jim Webb, Ked Sanders, Bruce Hopkins, Nancy Kelly Allen and Margaret Jessee Phelps will read from their books at the Library on September 21, 2005 during Mountain Heritage Day. The event will start with a book signing at 11:00AM to 12:00PM. After a break for refreshments at 12:00-1:00PM, the panel of authors will read selections from their books from 1:00 to 2:30PM.
Awarding of prizes to winners of theMountain Heritage Essay and Poetry contest will follow at 2:30-3:00PM. This event is free and financed with LSTA Grant from the Department of Libraries and is a part of the WRITE project.
WRITE (Writing & Reading Instructs Teens & Entertains)Free workshops for "budding" writers.
