GREAT NEWS!!!

LETCHER COUNTY FISCAL COURT AWARDS COAL SEVERANCE FUNDS TO LILLIAN WEBB MEMORIAL LIBRARY

In a meeting of the Fiscal Court on Auguust 14, 2006, the court unanimously approved a request of the Letcher County Library Board to fund a $200,000.00 (Two hundred thousand dollars)Coal Sevearance Tax money to go towards the remodeling of the Lillian Webb Memorial Library in Neon.

The money will be given to the Library Board as soon as it is available. The Fiscal Court recognized the importance of the library to the City of Neon and included the money in their list of priorities in their budget in June. The Fiscal Court asked the Library Board to built a new beautiful library in the city that every citizen of Neon will be proud of.
