The Mountain Heritage Festival will be on September 18-29, 2007. Whitesburg Day will be on Wednesday, September 26. The library will present a puppet show of "The Musicians of Bremen" throughout the day. The Cowan Community Center quilters will also demonstrate their skills on Whitesburg Day.
Quilt
exhibit will run from September 18- 30 at the Main library.
Among the exhibits are quilts by Shirley Baker.
On display are:
"Garden of Flowers"
"Double Wedding Ring" and "Flower
Garden"
Legislative Day in Frankfort
Legina Adams, Sen. Johnny Ray Turner and Lina Tidal pose for a picture on February 8, 2006. Librarians and library friends from all over the state were in Frankfort to lobby for library funding.
